About Del
As a counselor I get the opportunity to help people during difficult times in their lives. I have had the privilege of doing this as a Licensed Professional Counselor for the past 30 years. I see my purpose as a counselor to help people become more aware of their individual abilities, to better understand their current life situation and to be empowered with a sense of hope for their future.
My first 16 years of experience was with children, teens, young adults and families. Many were involved with the Department of Human Resources due to physical and sexual abuse and with Juvenile Probation and the Court. The last 14 years I have had the opportunity to work with adults of all ages, which has taught me many things about life and the importance of healthy relationships and developing healthy coping skills for the different stages of life. Because each person is an individual with different needs and abilities, I incorporate the use of different therapeutic treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Rational Emotive, Person Centered and others.
