About Jessica

I have treated obsessive compulsive disorder in both intensive outpatient programs and in private mental health settings for 17 years. I am an active member of the American Counseling Association, The Mississippi Counseling Association, The International Obsessive Compulsive Foundation, and the Alabama Counseling Association. With the help of my dear friend, co-author, and colleague Dr. Tom Tenbrunsel, I published “Strategies for Mental Wellness: A Guide to Navigating life’s obstacles,” in April of 2024. This book is available for purchase through Amazon.

I seek to provide my clients with a safe and confidential environment that is both genuine and accepting. I believe it is important to empower others to live confident, content lives. Whatever your situation may be, you do not have to live your life feeling self-defeated and hopeless. My goal is to help all human beings move toward a healthier and happier way of living in the presence of a growth-promoting climate. Counseling provides such a climate, where insight is gained about oneself and the world. When applied, this knowledge can lead to a more meaningful and rewarding way of life.

I am also a mom, wife, music enthusiast, published author, and part-time farmer. I enjoy playing guitar, writing, gardening, and making the most of every moment.
