About Mikayla
Life can feel overwhelming when you are carrying difficult experiences, strong emotions, or stress that is hard to put into words. As an Associate Licensed Counselor, I provide a supportive, honest space for children ages 5 and older, teens, and adults to feel heard and work toward meaningful change.
I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation concerns, and everyday life stressors. My approach is individualized and incorporates Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, and Gestalt techniques. I enjoy supporting children and families through emotional-regulation work and parent training, and I have a particular interest in trauma work with teens and adults ages 55 and older.
Together, we can build practical coping tools, process difficult experiences, and create steps toward your goals that fit in with your life.
